The 75-year-old musician made a rare public appearance months after revealing that he has a live-in nurse available 24 hours a day.

Phil Collins made a rare public appearance in London last weekend to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The King’s Trust at Buckingham Palace.

In January, the British musician spoke about the health complications he has faced since 2007 after suffering a spinal injury and revealed that he currently has the assistance of a nurse available 24 hours a day to ensure he takes his medication correctly.

The former Genesis drummer and lead singer was accompanied by his ex-wife Jill Collins, who shared on her Instagram a photo of them with Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster.

“Despite the torrential rain, which didn’t seem to dampen the festivities, @officialphilcollins and I were very proud and honored to be there and to have a few private moments with King Charles, who seemed genuinely happy to see Phil, who was the first ambassador 40 years ago and a board member even before that!” Jill wrote in the post.

Phil Collins has faced a series of serious health issues over the past two decades, which led him to retire from touring in 2022.

The musician has openly spoken about his reduced mobility and physical problems, but he has also hinted that he still has unfinished songs he would love to complete in the studio. In November this year, Phil Collins will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
